Jackie Aina in White Part 1
Yes, you read that title right. "Jackie Aina in White Part 1," meaning there's going to be multiple parts and posts about Miss Jackie Aina. Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie.
When I think of funny, fabulous, and unforgettable female influencers, I immediately think of Jackie Aina. Not only is her iconic "Jackie" catch phrase catchy every time, her fits and her face-beats are legendary! I was scrolling through Tumblr and found this post of elegant Black females in all white fits, and there was Miss Jackie showing out in a photo that was taken at a Nars event. Seeing this photo was a reminder that I actually have a few of her looks saved on my Instagram, but her all white looks really go-off! So I'm doing another recreation Dress for Less for Miss Aina's all white look that she wore in Italy for the Nars event back in August 2019. As always, I have links below of the items including what she wore and similar items to the look. Note that these include affiliate links which this blog receives a very small commission from. These brands are not paying me to post specific products, these are just the pieces I found closest to matching the look while being affordable at different price ranges. First, I had to find out where her clothes were from. With the help of her Instagram and @dresslikejackie (shout out to them because they know where many of her looks are from) I was able to find all the pieces, and not to my surprise, they aren't cheap.
Jackie's outfit details: Corset Top - House of CB Mini Skirt - House of CB Clear Mules - Femme LA Small Shoulder Bag - Gucci
For my recreation, I found a corset top and scrunched mini skirt from Nasty Gal and Revolve that went on sale and have similar structures. Unfortunately, the price difference isn't as large as I wanted it to be. It definitely is less, but it could have been far more less. So to compensate, I am including more great pieces to put together a beautiful all white Summer look. This very femme, garden picnic aesthetic could work with a two piece set, like Jackie wore, or with a feminine white mini dress. Heels are optional for a garden look just because grass can do damage on them, but I have included more clear options as well. As for the Gucci bag, a more in depth search will be required to find a similar embroidery and bag structure so this simple white and gold chain one will do for now.
Below are more white top pieces:
More white mini skirt pieces:
White Summer dress pieces:
More clear heels:
Hope you enjoyed this recreation, stay tuned for part 2.
