Amazon Designer Looks for Less
Now that we are in the full swing of Summer and have a slight possibility of being able to step outside our homes (still socially distancing ourselves) we have an opportunity to be stylish for those handful of moments. In this post, I'm going to be talking about trendy luxury inspired bags from Amazon that are affordable. And the wonderful thing about this is that these aren't bags that are only trendy for the Summer, they are year-round staples.
I've been shopping for designer inspired items for years and I have been able to find some good quality ones (and not so good ones) on a few sites. By far Amazon has been my go-to, that I have compiled quite a list from. This means I'll most likely make this into a series here on my blog. I have been especially inspired lately by the Amazon Designer Dupes trend on Youtube and the Amazon Favorites Tik-Toks. Since we've been indoors for so long, I too have a list of favorite Amazon purchases I've made during quarantine (look out for that post soon). On this post, I have decided to list some of the top rated dupes that I have found so far. I understand that it is often hard to find some of these as they are sold out quickly or taken down, so use this as a resource, and I apologize if you aren't able to get these items before they are gone. Hopefully, my tips will help. I will do a separate post of some of my personal favorite dupes that I have purchased in the past. I also want to note that I will be including links to the actual bags these are inspired by. This post will include affiliate links which this blog receives a very small commission from and these brands are not paying me to post specific products.
Tips on Finding Good Designer Dupes
First, I want to make it clear that I am providing designer inspired products that look very similar or close to designer items that are popular. I am not promoting the purchase of fake designer items. If you have researched designer items before you would know it is very possible to distinguished between what is inspired and what is meant to be an exact replica. I would also like to mention there are numerous fast fashion retailers that sell inspired designer products as well, like Forever 21 and Fashion Nova.
Tip #1: I wouldn't advise going for the items that look like the exact replica of the item. Why? Because there is a possibility that they might just use an actual designer bag photo as their own to make sales. With that, there is no guarantee that you'll get what's shown in the photo because it is not their original photo. Also, they are more likely to get their storefront reported or taken down quicker, so if you didn't get it when you had a chance then you've missed that opportunity. Tip #2: If you are buying designer dupes to elevate the look of your wardrobe, pick items in colors that the designer item you have in mind actually comes in. Usually, black, brown, nude, white, or tan are the safest colors to stick with. If you don't care and want other colors, go for it. You're the one who's going to be wearing it so you might as well like what you pick. But note, that neutral colors are usually the ones most in stock and can be found for just about every designer bag out there. Tip #3: Again if you don't care disregard this part, but try to find designs that are simple and don't have a brand logo, writing, print, or monogram on the outside of the bag that looks too obviously meant to resemble another brand. Tip #4: Always look at the reviews. Look at how many people have purchased the item, the rating, what the question and answers are, what the customers are saying, and the photos that they upload. This is the next best thing to actually seeing what you want to buy on Amazon before buying it. This honestly goes for any Amazon purchase. If a lot of people have purchased the item and it has good reviews and ratings, then it's a good bet. I would say anything above at least 10-15 customer purchases and 3.5 stars and higher are worth a strong consideration. Also be open but smart about items with less reviews, they just might by new to the market and don't have a lot of sales yet. Just remember to take into consideration multiple factors before you buy. Tip #5: Read the description. Know exactly what you are buying and what it comes with. Those pictures and that long title can be very misleading. You also want to know their return policy and where they are shipping from. Tip #6: Create a list of these items that you can go back to just in case your item becomes currently unavailable. The worst feeling is finding an item and not saving it and then not being able to find it again. At least when it is saved you know if it's available or not.
Now for the actual bags. Some of these will be close dupes and others will be bags that I think fit the look or style of trendy bags that I've seen. Also, if you want to look at more designer items, check out my luxury items board and bag board on my Pinterest. Happy shopping!
