There are some days that I get so lucky that I just get up and the first two pairing I think of come together to make a great look. I recently paired a cropped hot pink halter top and a black stretchy pencil skirt and created a sophisticated dress-type ensemble.
Separately, they are great with other clothing more suited for a particular look. For example, the hot pink haltered crop top would have looked very Summer casual with a pair of distressed high-waisted denim shorts. And the pencil skirt would be suited with a nice long sleeve blouse.
Together, who would have thought they would work just as beautifully. I love how dressed up this can look and I'm perfectly comfortable because both the top and bottom are made of cotton. Note that you can also shop a similar look at the very end of the post and this includes affiliate links which this blog receives a very small commission from. These brands are not paying me to post specific products, these are the same and similarly related clothes to what I own.
