Things to do at Home while Social Distancing
I don't know about you but, I didn't expect the first 3 months of 2020 to be this overwhelming on such a global scale (to say the very least). It was just a few months ago that some of us were scrolling through social media reading about the Australia bush-fires, memes about the possibility of WW3, and even collectively feeling the pang of loss with the death of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and the 7 other passengers of the deadly helicopter crash in Calabasas Hills. It's been exhausting and scary. Now we are struck with the reality of a global pandemic with the Covid-19 outbreak. In times like this, I believe we all need to remember our own feelings are valid and that prioritizing our mental health is important. But let's not forget about being kind and considerate of all people especially those who are homeless, old, and highly susceptible to respiratory illnesses or any sicknesses. Let's show appreciation to health and medical professionals working around the clock and listen to credible health safety sources about what we can do to decrease the spread of Corona virus. This means coughing or sneezing in your sleeve or a tissue, washing your hangs consistently, wiping down frequently used surfaces, consulting with a doctor if you don't fell well, and practicing as much social distancing as possible.
I know social distancing can be a struggle. I'm such a homebody but not having the option to go out and about and hangout with friends, or going to work, or run errands is getting harder. For those fortunate enough to have the option to practice social distancing because they can work from home and those who are temporarily out of a job and have no choice, I feel you, this is such a weird reality to navigate. If we're going to beat this we all need to do our part to keep our distance and stay home as much as we can to slow down the community spread of the virus. I've compiled a list of things you can do at home to practice self-care, promote productivity, and just find a silver-lining in this situation.
