Summer Clothing Try-on Haul
Hello and happy August! As we are in the full swing of Summer, I wanted to haul some of the new clothing and accessory pieces I bought recently. I'm not going to show everything I bought, just the most Summery and most worn items so far, and review them.

Jackie Aina in White Part 1
Yes, you read that title right. "Jackie Aina in White Part 1," meaning there's going to be multiple parts and posts about Miss Jackie Aina. Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie.
An Outfit for a Not-So-Hot Summer Day
Happy end of July, Lovelies! Here in California it's pretty much always warm, actually hot, especially in the Summer. But sometimes we get really nice days that aren't completely unbearable. Those are the days I can get away with wearing jeans while being outside for a long period of time. This is what I decided to wear for a day out while I grabbed some ice cream and took some pictures.
Looks for Light and Dark Floral Prints
Hello and a welcome to a brand new month! To me, the month of May especially fells like Spring time (other than around Easter) because of Mother's Day and the much warmer weather. Also, happy belated Mother's Day to all the amazing mommas out there! You do so much with grace, beauty, intelligence, and tensity; so thank you.
Ankara Lookbook
Happy Sunday! Though, I'm most likely in pajamas while I upload this post and pictures, I had fun going through my closet to see how many Ankara and Aso ebi outfits I've acquired over the years. Just know it's a lot and that there will be more look-books of my collection! For those of you who may not know, Ankara, Ankara fabric, or Dutch wax fabric are 100% cotton wax prints that are widely used clothing material in West African countries. They are vibrantly colored and ornately patterned.
"Wow, so like where have you been?"
I know, it's been a while. Long story short, I am a college graduate, I have real work experience, and I've been doing some traveling. Look at her being an adult. We love a well rounded queen! Back to the point of this blog post. Upon the great amounts of fashion inspiration that I have received from February 2020's New York Fashion Week, I've decided I want to write about my trip to New York last September. Note that this post will contain affiliate links and widgets to items that I wore or used during the trip. You can directly click on my pictures to find out where I got some of my clothes from that I styled. Listen, I know the September 2019 New York Fashion Week was at the beginning of the month, but I ended up taking the trip later that month. I would have loved to see more Fashion Week street style while I was there but it genuinely was the best time for my first visit. Hello, beautiful people! I was going through my site and I realized that I have never posted a haul. For someone who manages to shop more frequently than her bank account would like, (not just for clothes, I shop for random stuff all the time) I thought that having a post about my newest pieces for this month was necessary. I've done quite a few trips to the grocery store this past month, along with too many random Target and Walmart runs to even actually admit, but I'll just show the clothes because those are always the most fun to see.
This mini haul is a compilation of clothes, shoes, and jewelry that I've gotten from Depop (one of my favorite thrift/resold items selling app), GS Love, Nike, and Cymonne's boutique. As always I have links for things that I have purchased, however the items from Depop were previously owned and lightly used clothes and shoes, so I wasn't able to find the exact stores in which they came from. I did of course find affordable alternatives to these items from online stores like Poshmark, again another place to buy lightly used clothes. Go ahead and take a look at the things I bought this month and click on the images to checkout where to find them. Enjoy! So I'm a 90s kid and I often find myself wearing 90s and even 80s inspired looks without even really trying. (Well, it kind of makes it easy when you have too many high wasted jeans, yes many of them are acid wash, and you wear denim jackets with everything) I wore this look about two weekends ago and I'm just looking at the pictures now thinking, wow this is pretty 90s effortless grunge but still modern day "appropriate." The only item I was really missing was a chocker, but everybody and their grandmother is wearing a chocker now so I can do without one for this post. As always, I try to include links to everything I feature or at least to something similar, so check out the pictures below.
There are some days that I get so lucky that I just get up and the first two pairing I think of come together to make a great look. I recently paired a cropped hot pink halter top and a black stretchy pencil skirt and created a sophisticated dress-type ensemble.
I'm throwing it back to when I wore this 1980s and 1990s inspired look. What can I say, I'm a 90s kids in love with the 80s charm. I think my love stems from the music and movies of the 80s. The uniqueness it brought to the world, mostly in the American culture, is still a source of inspiration in these modern times. I love the look of the 80s and 90s and I quite often recreate my outfits in dedication to these two decades.
