An Outfit for a Not-So-Hot Summer Day
Happy end of July, Lovelies! Here in California it's pretty much always warm, actually hot, especially in the Summer. But sometimes we get really nice days that aren't completely unbearable. Those are the days I can get away with wearing jeans while being outside for a long period of time. This is what I decided to wear for a day out while I grabbed some ice cream and took some pictures.
This casual off the shoulder look was so nice because even though it was warm, I was comfortable because of how lite and stretchy the top was and how baggy the ripped jeans were. Both the top and the jeans were purchased online recently (quarantine shopping, yay) with the top being from a Black owned online retail brand and the jeans from a well known online fast fashion brand. The top can be worn up on the shoulders or off the shoulders. Most of the time it was off the shoulders for me because it kept slipping, still cute though. I decided to belt the jeans to accentuate how high-waisted they were. I also added a head scarf from a local beauty supply store and espadrille platform sandals to make the look more Summer ready. Links of where I got items from are down below plus I included links to sites where you can get a similar look from. This post will include affiliate links which this blog receives a very small commission from and these brands are not paying me to post specific products, this is just what I wore when I went out for ice cream. Enjoy!
