Southern California weather has been weird for the past week. First, it's nice and warm, then it crazy humid and then it rains for two days straight! Even the people who I know have lived in California longer thought this heat and rain was unusual. I thought it would be great to style not only for specific occasions and events but maybe also for the weather in a particular region. I wore this outfit recently and thought it was the perfect combination of style and comfort for the LA weather recently.
I went with a patterned halter crop top, a high-wasted acid-wash mom jeans, leather sandals, and a short sleeve knit cardigan. The crop top and the jeans are light enough that it's not uncomfortable to wear in warm and humid weather. These jeans were actually my mom's. They are worn with a black belt because it's kind of a 80s/90s throwback and because it fits me better with it on. The sandals are a distressed leather and match the tropical vibe from the top, which is a tieback. The cardigan is slightly over-sized so it can keep one relatively dry if one gets cause in a random summer shower. And it can be taken off easily and the outfit would still look good.
